DAAP Visuals

I picture my booth will pull many different kinds of people in. I imagine it to be mostly graphic illustration that may make a lot of people uncomfortable, but that’s the point. I would like to pull people in out of intruige and to hopefully educate those at my booth. Normalizing periods starts with this booth and creating a comfortable space for people to come up and read about the many facts or tips that they may have never encountered before. I hope to inspire women to feel empowered and proud of their monthly “gift,” I hope to intrigue the young men to want to come up and learn more just for the important women in their lives and I truly hope to make a difference, even if it’s a small one! Normalization has got to start somewhere and I want for my zine to be the beginning!

I plan on using graphic illustration to make it more playful for the younger crowd, I feel like imagery is a little much. Red would be the obvious accent color and I can have some layouts on my screen to create an interactive experience outside of the zine itself. People can flip through pages as well as use a screen. I will probably have tampons and pads on the table as well for some visual descriptions. At least the booth will be memorable!
